Mesh quality is the key to converged and accurate CFD solutions. Fidelity Pointwise gives you all the tools to get there — high levels of automation plus detailed levels of control. It guides you from less-than-perfect geometry models to the most robust grid for your flow solver.

Once the mesh is complete, export it along with flow-solver boundary conditions to the most popular open-source, commercial, and standard CFD formats. All of it — import through meshing through export — automatable with the Glyph scripting language.

Mesh-Geometry Independence — Bridge the Gaps

Pointwise's solid-modelling operations form imported geometries into watertight solids where gaps are closed implicitly — so meshing can proceed without a hitch. A technique called merging automatically identifies adjacent surface meshes, joins them across geometry-model gaps, and uses the mesh solver to remove geometry artefacts (topology, sliver surfaces) from the mesh.

The built-in geometry modeller can supplement what's imported from CAD — or create new models from scratch.
